Travel Q + A

HOW CAN I REACH LEVADIA?

Levadia is an almost 2-hours drive from the center of Athens. In case there is no car available, we would currently suggest traveling by bus and not by train. The KTEL (greek bus service) terminal is located at Liosion 260 street in Athens, 10min walk from the Kato Patisia metro station.

WHAT IS WORTH VISITING IN THE AREA?

Of course the Park of Krya along the river of Erkyna in Levadia where the ceremonies will take place!

But also...

- the archeological site, museum and oracle of Delphi and the nearby famous winter resort of Arachova on the Mt. Parnassos

- the byzantine architecture monastery of Osios Loukas, next to the Nazi victims’ village of Distomo

- the settlement of Aspra Spitia designed from scratch by the architect and urban planner C.Doxiadis and the nearby fish village of Antikyra

- the beautiful nature of the so-called mountain of the Muses Mt. Helicon (Elikonas) and especially the location of Arvanitsa where one of the biggest music festivals in Greece, the Arvanitsa Forest Festival, takes place every year in the middle of July.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HOTEL OR GUEST HOUSE RECOMMENDATIONS?

In Levadia we would recommend Hotel Levadia and Hotel Philippos. There are a lot of options in Arachova and Delphi as well, but in that case you would need a private car.
